Dr gwee li sui

Dr Gwee Li Sui is a poet, a graphic artist, and a literary critic. He has seven volumes of verse to date, the most recent being This Floating World. His bestselling non-fiction books include a poetry guide FEAR NO POETRY! and a language companion Spiaking Singlish. Gwee has translated into Singlish works by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (The Leeter Tunku), Beatrix Potter (The Tale of Peter Labbit), and the Brothers Grimm (Grimms' Fairy Tales in Singlish). He wrote Singapore's first long-form English graphic novel Myth of the Stone back in 1993. A familiar name in Singapore's cultural scene, Gwee has written and lectured on a range of subjects.
